High Solids Biodigestion
It is a dry fermentation technique in batch process, which is particularly suitable for biowaste fermentation.
The plant consists of eight fermentation tunnels and a percolation fermenter. The resulting biogas is used on site in a cogeneration unit to generate electricity and feed it into the public grid.
The fermentation product (digestate) is then processed in the plant’s composting facility with other organic waste, processed into quality-assured compost, and marketed.
